This is one of those recipes that will turn you into a rock star at any gathering. It's ridiculously easy to make, and your guests will think that you worked really hard to make it. Joke's on them. Even if you burn water, you should be able to trip your way through this recipe and not fall on your face (unless you try to make it near the end of the party).
Queso Chip Dip
Prep Time: 5 min.
Cook Time: 5 min.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Velveeta® cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 can RO*TEL® Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, undrained
Directions
- Place 1/2-inch cubes of cheese into microwave-safe bowl.
- Add can of diced tomatoes, chilies, and juice.
- Microwave on 80% power for 3 minutes.
- Stir, place back in microwave, and continue cooking on high (100%) for 2 more minutes.
- Stir until smooth before serving. This dish has a habit of solidifying very quickly, so it is best to serve it right as the guests arrive. Stir frequently. If left out for longer than 10 minutes, additional heating may be needed.
- Serve with your favorite dipping snack—tortilla chips, pretzels, crackers, bread, etc.
