Have you heard the news? The Nauset school system on Cape Cod, MA has completed their integration of the STA curriculum. The Nauset family came together to raise over $140,000 to fund this program and has enrolled their first students in the new classes. Welcome to the STA family Nauset!
Shield the Arts is an organization whose mission is to work with educational institutions in implementing, maintaining and funding art programs that focus on both traditional and technology-based mediums in order to help students who want to work in creative careers in the 21st century.
As part of the growing curriculum STA is now including Japanese Calligraphy, called Kanji, as a field of study. As both a written language and an art form we feel this will be a wonderful addition to our program as the students express themselves artistically and explore a foreign culture.
Coming in 2013 Shield the Arts will be bringing an exciting new scholarship opportunity! The Insignia Scholarship is Shield the Arts first Scholarship ever and is open to any student that has benefited from a STA instituted program. Click here for more information!
Shield the Arts exists solely because people like you donate generously, but did you know that we also accept art supplies and gently used equipment?
